The following is a list of estimated fees for various types of psychological evaluations we offer. Please note that sometimes more extensive testing may be required that could potentially increase these costs. However, we cannot know this until we evaluate your situation. Your specific needs will determine the types of testing and timeframes needed for a proper evaluation.
A clinical psychological evaluation is a thorough assessment process designed to diagnose mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders. The process typically includes a clinical diagnostic interview to gather in-depth information, followed by psychological and personality testing for detailed insights. A comprehensive written report is provided, summarizing the findings and diagnoses. The evaluation concludes with a feedback session to discuss results and potential treatment paths. This evaluation is crucial for understanding an individual’s mental health and guiding appropriate treatment strategies.
This evaluation is focused on assessing children for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It includes detailed behavioral assessments, interviews, and possibly standardized testing to identify ADHD symptoms such as inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, and to differentiate these from other behavioral or learning issues.
Tailored for children, this evaluation aims to identify signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It involves a combination of observational assessments, parent interviews, and developmental history reviews to evaluate social interaction, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors characteristic of ASD.
This evaluation is specifically designed for individuals considering bariatric surgery. It includes a psychological assessment to determine the patient’s mental and emotional readiness for surgery, understanding of the lifestyle changes required post-surgery, and ability to adhere to long-term health and dietary guidelines. This evaluation is crucial in ensuring the patient’s psychological preparedness for the significant life changes that accompany bariatric surgery.
This specialized evaluation assesses candidates for spinal cord stimulator implantation. It typically includes psychological screening to determine the patient’s mental readiness and ability to cope with the device, ensuring the best possible outcomes from the procedure.
A screening neuropsychological evaluation is a comprehensive assessment process designed to evaluate cognitive functions such as memory, attention, visuospatial abilities, and language. This evaluation includes a clinical diagnostic interview involving the client and a relative, followed by basic neuropsychological testing. Unlike standard screenings at a primary physician’s or neurologist’s office (e.g., MMSE or MoCA), this evaluation offers a more in-depth analysis. While it does not diagnose specific conditions, it identifies areas of cognitive strength and provides tailored recommendations. The evaluation generally requires one appointment lasting approximately two to three hours and a separate feedback session to discuss the findings and recommendations.
This extensive assessment covers a wide range of cognitive functions, including memory, attention, language, problem-solving, and motor skills. It’s designed for individuals who may be experiencing cognitive difficulties due to various neurological conditions or brain injuries.
Similar to the child version, this evaluation focuses on diagnosing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in adults. It involves an assessment of adult-specific ADHD symptoms, personal history, and possibly standardized tests to accurately diagnose and differentiate ADHD from other mental health conditions.
IQ testing is a specialized evaluation designed to measure cognitive abilities across various intelligence domains. The process includes a concise interview, comprehensive full-scale IQ testing, and culminates in a detailed score report. A 30-minute feedback session is also provided to discuss the results. The testing utilizes standardized measures, including the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence, and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale. This evaluation offers a thorough understanding of an individual’s cognitive strengths and areas for development.
This evaluation specifically measures academic skills and accomplishments. It includes standardized tests that assess areas such as reading, writing, mathematics, and language arts, providing a clear picture of an individual’s academic strengths and challenges.
This testing is designed to diagnose specific learning disorders. It involves a series of assessments to evaluate skills like reading, writing, and math, and identifies areas where individuals may have significant difficulties in learning compared to their peers.
Please be aware that our rates may increase for evaluations that require travel beyond our office, such as visits to an attorney’s office or an institution. Additionally, more comprehensive evaluations involving thorough record reviews, interviews, or collateral phone calls may also result in higher rates.
It’s important to note that these services are not covered by medical insurance. The initial minimum fee is required to be paid in full at the first appointment. Should there be any extra charges beyond this minimum fee, they will be due once the report is completed. We will only release reports after receiving full payment of all fees.
This evaluation entails a mental health assessment aimed at identifying any psychological symptoms or personality traits that might influence the relevant legal matter. Usually, it’s conducted following a court order or upon an attorney’s recommendation. The process typically comprises a forensic interview conducted by the psychologist, accompanied by psychological testing. Subsequently, a forensic psychological report is prepared and submitted to either the attorney or the court. Additionally, the psychologist may request access to the individual’s previous mental health records, examine legal documents, and/or consult with specific collateral contacts as part of the evaluation process.
Immigration evaluations are crucial for individuals seeking legal residency in the United States, especially when there are psychological or psychosocial factors that could influence the government’s decision. These evaluations usually encompass forensic interviews with the individual, psychological testing, and a thorough review of both legal and mental health records. Additionally, the evaluation process may involve conversations with key contacts who can provide relevant information. The aim is to gather comprehensive data to assist in the immigration process, ensuring that all necessary psychological aspects are duly considered and documented for the authorities.
This psychological evaluation focuses on assessing an individual’s overall mental health and evaluating the likelihood of future violent behavior. Such evaluations are commonly requested by attorneys, courts, schools, or employers. The process typically includes conducting forensic interviews with the individual, performing psychological testing, reviewing both legal and mental health records, and gathering collateral information about the person being assessed.
A fitness for duty evaluation is often requested by schools, colleges, workplaces, or religious organizations, particularly for high-risk positions like police officers, security guards, or church officials. This assessment is essential for determining whether an individual possesses the psychological capacity to meet the demands of a specific job and to interact safely with others. It’s also used in situations where an individual has been involved in an incident at work or school, or if they have exhibited concerning behaviors. The evaluation process typically includes forensic interviews with the individual, comprehensive psychological testing, a thorough review of both legal and mental health records, and discussions with relevant contacts who can provide additional insights into the individual’s behavior and capabilities. This thorough assessment ensures that the individual is fit for their role and can handle the responsibilities and interactions their position demands.
When there’s suspicion that an adult may not have the mental or psychological capacity to manage their own care, finances, or make significant decisions, a guardianship evaluation is often recommended. Usually ordered by a court or suggested by an attorney, this evaluation includes a clinical interview with the individual, along with psychological or neuropsychological testing. It also entails reviewing the individual’s previous mental health and medical records, examining any relevant legal documents, and conducting discussions with family members and other related individuals. The psychologist’s role in this process is to address specific inquiries about the individual’s capabilities, as raised by the court or attorney.
A worker’s compensation/disability evaluation is a specialized assessment commonly requested in cases where an individual has experienced a workplace injury or is claiming a disability. This evaluation is crucial for determining the extent of the individual’s physical and psychological impairment as it relates to their job performance and overall well-being. The process typically involves a detailed forensic interview with the individual, alongside comprehensive psychological testing. It also includes a thorough review of medical, legal, and mental health records, as well as discussions with relevant collateral contacts, such as medical professionals or family members, to gain a complete understanding of the individual’s condition. The primary objective of this evaluation is to ascertain the impact of the injury or disability on the individual’s ability to perform their job duties and to evaluate their eligibility for worker’s compensation or disability benefits. This evaluation is instrumental in ensuring that the individual receives the appropriate level of support and accommodations for their recovery and return to work.
